'Independent cinema, stories from within'. This was the brief for the launch of TV1000's season of Russian independent films. Russian independent cinema often explores everyday characters in ordinary situations, and turns their stories into something captivating.
We decided to shoot two ordinary Russian's in a studio here in London. We wanted to use these everyday characters as a blank canvas exploring the themes touched on by our films.
